Brooklyn Beauty Lounge

My first visit was amazing, gel manicure was stunning, everyone was very nice. Second visit I booked a VIP service which is the manicure and pedicure at the same time. The pedicure was picture perfect my technician took her time and did a very through job. Unfortunately my gel manicure was very rushed and there were many issues. For those who know about Russian manicures, they take some time but are totally worth it. This manicure was done in 45 minutes- first red flag. The cuticles were choppy, each nail was a different size, gel was very thick, a repair on a crack re-cracked after 1 day. I paid and tipped well for each technicians time. I notified the business about the issues with the manicure in a timely manner and was told I needed to pay for a redo. I said I would pay but I wanted a redo so they looked good for the holidays. After reaching out 3 times to book an appointment for a redo, no response. I had to go somewhere else to fix all the issues and the other shop had additional charges for the crack repair and to remove the work done from Brooklyn Beauty Lounge. I was really hoping this business would make things right and I hoped this would be my go to spot but I am left disappointed by the lack of care. UPDATE 12/26/23- the manager of the business reached out to me after reading this review and genuinely apologized for the experience and lack of communication on the part of the front desk attendant. She offered to have manicure done properly which I will accept that offer when I am due for my next manicure. I am giving an additional star from the original 2 star review for the effort and I will update after the visit.

I’ve wanted to try Russian mani/ pedi for quite some time based on its great popularity and detailed work. After some research I discovered Brooklyn Beauty Lounge and appreciated their work. Upon arrival I was warmly greeted and explained the process. The pedi was very detailed and I appreciated it wasn’t rushed like most places. My manicure extension came out flawless and I’m loving the red nails for the holidays. I also booked eyebrow shaping prior and was so impressed my the details that I booked eyelash extension as they were able to fit me in. It was a well spent evening getting pampered . I’ll be back soon for all my refills :)
